A S.A.D. lamp is much different than a UV Sunlamp. A S.A.D. lamp is a type of Light Therapy Box which is a full spectrum Bright Light that emits NO Ultraviolet light so you cannot tan from a S.A.D. lamp. These lamps are used for treating S.A.D.
